The "Msgr. Frank J. Howard Council #6648" located in Havelock, NC was chartered on January 9, 1975.  The council was named in honor of the founder of Annunciation Catholic Parish in Havelock, Monsignor Frank J. Howard.  The Charter Grand Knight was Louis J. Realini and the Charter Chaplain was Rev. John J. Harper.

The highlight of the council's history occurred on November 12, 1995 when our council home was dedicated.  This event was the culmination of over three years of hard work by the council members and friends.  The council assumed control of a condemned building on the parish grounds and totally renovated the building.  Our council home has been dedicated to the memory of Past Grand Knight, and Past Faithful Navigator, Edward J. Stein.
 

We are located at Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock, NC the home of MCAS Cherry Point.  We have one of the strongest councils in the state of NC and are always looking for new ways to serve. We cordially invite you and your family to join us as we serve our Church, Community, Family and Youth. We meet the 1st Wednesday of the month at 8:00 for business. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 for a Rosary and Social -- families are most welcome. Our 4th Degree meets the 4th Wednesday at 8:00.
